Abstract
Five new metal(II) compounds with isomers of aminobenzonitrile and dicyanamido ligands have been synthesized and characterized by structural and low temperature (2-300Â K) magnetic properties. This work contains the first example of Cu-ABN compounds. The structural analyses revealed that all the compounds extended their geometry to 2D or 3D networks through hydrogen bonding interactions. The variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements show that weak antiferromagnetic interactions propagate through the bridging ligands.
