Silver(I) complexes of a new multidentate macrocyclic ligand with N/S/Se donor atoms

The new 28 membered macrocyclic ligand L (1) was obtained by the [2 + 2] condensation reaction between bis(o-formylphenyl)selenide and bis(2-aminoethyl)sulfane. It acts as a N,N,S,S,Se,Se moiety towards silver(I) in the ionic species [LAg]+X− [X = OSO2CF3 (2), PF6 (3) and BF4 (4)].46
