Abstract
Through controlling pH value, solvent and added metal salts, six new zinc(II) and cobalt(II) coordination polymers containing the mixed ligands of chelidamic acid and 4,4â²-bipyridyl with different structural features have been synthesized and characterized. Complexes 1-3 with 2D layer structures are obtained through controlling the different synthetic methods and pH values, while complexes 4-6 with 1D or discrete structures are metal-ions-and-solvent controlled assemblies.
