In this contribution, we report the successful utilization of transition metal complexes based on an inexpensive and easy-to-handle N4-chelating ligand as catalysts of the coupling of epoxides with carbon dioxide. The complexes were tested towards a range of epoxides within a catalytic screening, varying various experimental parameters like e.g. concentration of catalyst, temperature and pressure.
