Abstract
Architectures of coordination polymers resulting from the reaction of diphenylphosphorylvaleric acid with Pr(NO3)3·6H2O in the presence of a base can be controlled by the solvent. While in methanolic solution a two-dimensional network with a 1:1.5 metal-to-ligand ratio was formed, aqueous media induced the formation of a three-dimensional framework with a 1:2 metal-to-ligand ratio. The compounds were studied by single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, ESI-TOF mass spectrometry and TG/DSC techniques.
