Abstract

Neutral π-allylpalladium(II) carbene complexes, [H2B(ImR)2]Pd(π-allyl) (H2B(ImR)2 = bis(3-alkylimidazol-2-ylidene)borate, R = Mes, 1a; Cy, 1b; tBu, 1c), and their B–H fluorinated derivatives have been synthesized and characterized by 1H, 13C and 19F NMR, along with X-ray crystal structural determination for 1a and 1c. The results reveal that the Pd(II) ion is in a distorted square planar environment in 1a and 1c, and is coordinated by one allyl ligand and one bis(3-alkylimidazol-2-ylidene)borate ligand.

The molecular structures of 1a and 1c were determined, in which the coordination geometry around the Pd atom is distorted square planar.Figure optionsDownload full-size imageDownload as PowerPoint slide
