Abstract
Heterometallic VIV-MnII compounds having a 1D polymeric structure {[Mn(VO)(Me2mal)2(H2O)5]·H2O}n and {[Mn(VO)(Bumal)2(H2O)5]·H2O}n were synthesized and characterized. The voltammograms of these complexes in water solution and in paste electrode are similar and appear to be a superposition of two one-electron oxidation steps corresponding to V4+/V5+ and Mn2+/Mn3+ redox transitions.
