Abstract
Reactions of triangular telluride-bridged clusters [M3(μ3-Te)(μ2-Te2)3((EtO)2PS2)3]+ (M = Mo, W) with S2Cl2 or Br2 lead to Te/S exchange in the Te2 ligands with the formation of complexes with a novel TeS2â ligand. Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry complements the information gathered from X-ray analysis regarding the degree of Te by S substitution.
