Abstract
The [Ni{Ph2P(Se)NPPh2}2] complex was structurally and spectroscopically characterized. X-ray crystallography revealed a trans-Ni(Se,P)2 structure, which is conserved in solution, as shown by 31P NMR spectroscopy. The structural features of this complex were compared to those of trans-[Ni{Ph2P(Se)NPPh2-Se,P}{Ph2P(Se)N(H)PPh2-Se,P}]Cl, which contains both Ni-Se-P-N(H)-P and Ni-Se-P-N-P five-membered rings.
