Abstract
⺠Novel compounds [C5R5(CO)2FeL]BF4 (R = H, CH3; L = NH2CH2CHCH2) have been prepared. ⺠They undergo halogenation reactions to form chiral dihalopropylamino compounds. ⺠Cp(CO)2FeLBF4 react with [Cp(CO)2Fe(Et2O)]BF4 to form [{Cp(CO)2Fe}2L](BF4)2. ⺠[{Cpâ(CO)2Fe}2L]2+ and [Cpâ(CO)2Fe-L-Fe(CO)2Cp]2+ isomers are similarly prepared. ⺠Reaction of [{Cp(CO)2Fe}2L](BF4)2 with NaI yields [Cp(CO)2FeL]I and [Cp(CO)2Fe]2.
