Abstract
⺠Mg and Al phthalocyanines containing (dimethylamino) ethanethiol were synthesized. ⺠The complexes were conjugated to gold nanoparticles. ⺠The conjugates showed decreased fluorescence quantum yields and lifetimes. ⺠High triplet quantum yields and shortened triplet lifetimes were observed.
