Abstract
The syntheses and structures of two new aroylhydrazone complexes are reported. The effects of intramolecular hydrogen bonding on the keto-enol tautomerism and on the negative charge on the donor atoms are studied. The changes of bond lengths and valence angles in the hydrazone ligands during the complaxation are studied by DFT. The catalytic reactivity of the new oxovanadium(V) complexes for the oxidation of thioanisol is reported. The electrochemical behavior of the new oxovanadium complexes is investigated.
