Abstract
The reaction of manganese(II) and a tetradentate hydrazone ligand (L) led to the formation of a new 2D system, [Mn3(N3)4(L)2(H2O)2]n. Azido groups act as bridges between neighboring manganese atoms and mediate ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions between them. Interestingly, this complex exhibits a ferrimagnetic-like behavior.
