Synthesis, characterization and crystal structure of a novel thiazoline/thiazolidine azine ligand and its nickel, copper and zinc complexes

A novel ligand N-(2-acetyl-2-thiazoline)-N′-(2-thiazolidin-2-one) (ATHTd) and its nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes were synthesized and structurally characterized. The geometry around the metallic atoms can be described as a distorted octahedron for nickel complexes, a distorted square pyramid for the copper complex and a distorted tetrahedron for the zinc complex.
