Abstract
Three new coordination polymers based on the 7-chloroquinolin-4-alanine ligand have been synthesized and characterized. The cooperative effect of the anion and the ligand produce a one-dimensional ladder-like polymer and a 3D supramolecular framework formed by Ï-Ï stacking interactions. The non-cooperative effect of the anion and ligand give a 3D supramolecular framework with 1D channels. The results suggest that the cooperative effect of the anion and the ligand plays a role in mediating the structure in crystal engineering.
