Abstract
The peculiarities have been studied of silver organosol formation in the breakdown of Ag(I) complex with 2-[4,6-di(tert-butyl)-2,3-dihydroxyphenylsulfanyl]acetic acid in organic solvents of a high donor number (DNÂ =Â 27-34). The Ag(I) complex was shown to be a promising solid precursor in production of silver nanoparticles. UV-Vis absorbance spectra of silver sol nanoparticles in (1) dimethyl formamide, (2) butanol-1, (3) propanol-2, (4) ethanol, (5) methanol.
