Abstract
The ferrocenylcarbaldehyde hydrazide ligand H(Fe)L1 and its rhenium(I) complex [ReBr(CO)3{H(Fe)L1}] have been obtained. Both compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, MS, IR, UV-Vis and 1H NMR spectroscopic methods and their structures elucidated by X-ray diffraction. The hydrazide group is O,N-bidentate affording a five-membered chelate ring in the rhenium complex.
