Abstract
By using linear CuS2WS2Cu fragments as building blocks and monodentate or bidentate thiolato ligands as linkers, two novel molecular squares of Mo(W)/Cu/S clusters [Et4N]4[{MS4Cu2(μ-SBut)}4] (1, M = Mo; 2, M = W) and two helical chain polymers {[Et4N]2[MS4Cu2(SSS)]}n (3, M = Mo; 4, M = W) have been isolated. The structural types of these clusters have not been previously reported in the Mo(W)/Cu/S system.
