Abstract
The rhodium nitrosyl complex Rh(NO)Cl2(PPh3)2 reacts with Na(S2CNR2) (R = Et or Me), in benzene under reflux, to give the square planar complexes Rh(S2CNR2)2. A similar reaction, on stirring the reaction mixture affords the square pyramidal complexes Rh(S2CNR2)2(PPh3). The products have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-vis, magnetic measurements, ESR and 1H NMR studies.
