Abstract
Two one-dimensional complexes, [Cu(hmpH)2Pd(μ-CN)2(CN)2]n (1) and [Cu(hmpH)2Pt(μ-CN)2(CN)2]n (2), (hmpH = 2-pyridinemethanol), have been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, vibrational (FT-IR and Raman) spectroscopic, thermal and elemental analyses techniques. In one dimensional structure of the complexes, [M(CN)4]2â (M = Pd(II) or Pt(II)) anions and [Cu(hmpH)2]2+ cations are linked via bridging cyanisde ligands.
