Ternary complexes of copper(II) and cobalt(II) involving nitrite/pyrazole and tetradentate N4-coordinate ligand: Synthesis, characterization, structures and antimicrobial activity

A series of mononuclear mixed ligand complexes of Cu(II) and Co(II) with ligand dbdmp have been synthesized and characterized by IR, UV-Visible, magnetic, EPR and redox studies. The crystal structures of three copper(II) complexes 1, 2 and 4 have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Antimicrobial activity of the complexes were investigated against two Gram positive and two Gram negative bacterial strains.
