Abstract
DFT calculations have been performed to explain the trend of the experimentally measured reaction yields. In the case of the studied systems by us, the type of Schiff-bases exhibits a clear dependence on the molar ratio of reactants if the products have similar stabilities. Otherwise the importance of reaction conditions will be weakened and the most stable product will be favored.
