Abstract
⺠A new 1D silver(I) coordination polymer has been obtained by reaction between indol-3-butyric acid and AgNO3 under classical conditions in aqueous ammonia solution. ⺠The synthesized silver(I) coordination polymer was structurally characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy (IR) and single crystal X-ray diffraction. ⺠The 1D polymeric chains are further assembled by hydrogen bond (NHâ¯O), Agâ¯C, Agâ¯Ï, CHâ¯Ï and weak Ïâ¯Ï interactions into a 3D supramolecular network. ⺠The spontaneous formation of the 1D assembly was investigated by applying the Natural Bond Orbital analysis (NBO).
