Abstract
⺠A novel cyclodidepsipeptide, containing an alanine moiety, was synthesized. ⺠Diastereoisomers, tautomers and anions of the compound were studied by DFT. ⺠Prototropic tautomerism and anion formation were explored by IR spectroscopy. ⺠The cyclodidepsipeptide showed antimicrobial activity against four bacterial strains.
