Abstract
The crystal structure of the title compound, [(C5H4NH)–CH2–NH2–(CH2)2–NH2–CH2(C5H4NH)]Cl4·2H2O, a potentially useful agent for chelation therapies, has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffractometry. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with Z = 2. The FT-IR and Raman spectra as well as the 1H and 13C NMR spectra of the compound were also recorded and briefly discussed.
► Crystal and molecular structure was determined. ► It is monoclinic (P21/c and Z =2). ► It is a ligand potentially useful for chelation therapies. ► FTIR, FT-Raman and NMR (1H and 12C) spectra were discussed.
