Abstract
The unique shape and physical properties of the fullerene C60, makes it a good candidate for preparation of large aggregates with organic chromophores such as porphyrins or perylenediimides. In order to provide information on structural and electronic properties of selected C60-organic chromophore systems, we have performed conformational and spectral investigations of selected monomers and dyads. The correlation between the structure of the molecular systems and their spectral properties has been found.
