Abstract
Crystal and molecular structure of l-arginine dioxalate has been determined at room temperature and electron density distribution was investigated at 100 K. In the structure a monovalent l-arginine+ cation and (HOOC–COO⋯HOOC–COOH)− dimeric anion can be identified. This dimeric anion forms very strong hydrogen bond with cation. FT-IR ATR and FT Raman spectra are obtained and discussed.
