Abstract
⺠The reaction between 4-aminoantipyrine and 2-mercaptobenzoic acid resulted in a proton transfer salt. ⺠This compound crystallize in the space group P-1. ⺠The ion-pair units are interlinked by hydrogen bonds forming a ID supramolecular network. ⺠Spectral studies (IR, NMR, Mass) confirm the formation of proton transfer salt. ⺠The compound shows thermal stability upto 260 °C.
