Abstract
- A new orthoarsenate NaBaAsO4(H2O)9, has been synthesized, structurally studied and characterized by vibrational spectroscopy.
- The structure is characterized by the presence of discrete AsO4 tetrahedra and NaBa(H2O)9 framework.
- The infrared bands in the region between 4000 and 1000Â cmâ1 show the existence of stronger, medium and low hydrogen bonds.
- The short hydrogen bond length O4H42â¯O2B of 2.496 à was confirmed by infrared spectroscopy.
- The Raman spectrum at room temperature confirms the presence of AsO4 tetrahedra.
