Abstract
⺠Lead aluminum silicate glasses doped with Yb3+ ions are synthesized and OA and PL are investigated. ⺠The results are analyzed in the light of varying concentration of Al2O3. ⺠Analysis indicated decreasing radiative trapping and increasing Ï of Yb3+ ions with Al2O3 content.
