Abstract
⺠Novel complexes of Pt2+, Pd2+ and U6+ with N,N'-bis(2-pyridyl)thiourea (H2BPT) were synthesized. ⺠Geometry optimization and conformational analysis have been performed with a perfect agreement with spectral studies and analytical measurements. ⺠The stability of complexes was explained and the kinetic parameters (E, A, ÎH, ÎS and ÎG) have been evaluated. ⺠Pt(II) complex has a powerful and complete degradation effect on DNA “which maybe a sign for anti-tumor activity”. ⺠Pt(II) complex has the maximum and broad range activities against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains.
