Abstract
⺠Electron back donation effect results in the shortening of C-O bond length. ⺠C-Hâ¯O intermolecular hydrogen bonding causes blue shifting of C-H stretching mode. ⺠Electrophilic attack region is around the two O2 atoms in the nitro group.
