Abstract
Electronic absorption and fluorescence of 3,4,9,10-tetra-(2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5,5-tetrafluoro-pentenyl)-perylene dissolved in isotropic solvents – acetone and chloroform, in thin layers of 8CB liquid crystal, and also in one- and two-component Langmuir–Blodgett films (mixed with 8CB or arachid acid). The spectra gave an evidence that in the Langmuir–Blodgett films the molecular aggregation of the investigated perylene derivative is present both in ground and excited states. It was also found that the degree of aggregation in the monomolecular layer was decreased by introducing the second component (8CB or arachid acid) into the one-component film.
