Abstract
New polymolybdate: bis(4-chloroanilinum) trimolybdate was obtained and its crystal structure was determined using X-ray powder diffraction methods. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system and P21/c (14) space group; a = 15.3575(4), b = 7.5891(3), c = 17.7678(3) Å, β = 101.722(2)°, V = 2027.64(9) Å3. The crystal structure determination was performed from powder diffraction data using both global optimization and direct methods. Synthesis and results of the structure determination, IR and thermal decomposition studies are presented and discussed.
