Abstract
Two new Cd(II) coordination polymers, namely [Cd(4,4â²-sdb) (biimpy)]n·1.5n(H2O) (1) and [Cd2(Htci)2(biimpy)2]n (2) (4,4â²-H2sdb = 4,4â²-sulfonyldibenzoate, H3tci = tri(2-carboxyethyl)isocyanurate and biimpy = 2,6-bis(1-imdazoly)pyridine), have been synthesized by the hydrothermal reactions of Cd(NO3)2 and the mixed ligands of 4,4â²-H2sdb and biimpy or H3tci and biimpy. Single crystal X-ray structural analyses reveal that compound 1 features a 2D layered structure with 3-connected topology, and compound 2 features a 3D framework with 6-connected 6T8 topology. In addition, the thermal stabilities and luminescent properties of compounds 1 and 2 were also investigated.
