Abstract
Under hydrothermal conditions, three copper coordination polymers, [Cu1.5(ina)(btcH)]·H2O (1), [Cu2(ina)2(bdc)0.5(μ3-OH)] (2), and [Cu(ina)(na)] (3), were prepared from Cu(NO3)2·2.5H2O and a combination of pyridinecarboxylic acid {4-pyridinecarboxylic (isonicotinic acid, inaH) or 3-pyridinecarboxylic (nicotinic acid, naH)} and multicarboxylic acid {1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid (1,3-bdcH2) or 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid (1,3,5-btcH3)}. These polymers were structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction. All polymers have a 2-D layer structure, which consists of rectangles of 7.9 × 8.9 (1), 9.0 × 8.2 (2), or 10.9 × 12.9 Å (3).
