Abstract
⺠Syntheses of C-5 hydroxyalkyl N- and O-acyclic pyrimidine nucleosides are reported. ⺠Regioisomers are assigned on the basis of 1H-13C correlation signals in 2D HMBC spectra. ⺠X-ray crystal structural analyses of 5-(acetoxyalkyl)-4-methoxypyrimidin-2-ones are presented.
