Abstract
⺠Four 2-methylquinoline derived compounds were synthesized and structurally characterized. ⺠The role of weak and strong noncovalent interactions in the crystal packing is ascertained. ⺠All compounds involve extensive classical hydrogen bonds as well as noncovalent interactions. ⺠The noncovalent interactions are sufficient to bring about the formation of acid-base adducts. ⺠2D-3D framework structures can be constructed by the collective weak interactions.
