Abstract
A new complex [Pr(C6H5NO2)3(H2O)2]2n·(nH5O2)(nHgCl5)(2nHgCl4)·(2nH2O) (1) has been synthesized via hydrothermal reaction and structurally characterized. Complex 1 is characteristic of a one-dimensional chain-like structure. Photoluminescent investigation displays that the title complex displays interesting emissions in blue, green and orange regions. Optical absorption spectra of 1 reveal the presence of an optical gap of 3.43 eV. The magnetic measurements show that complex 1 exhibits antiferromagnetic interactions.
