Abstract
A new multi-silver-substituted polyoxometalate Na19[Bi2Ag3Na(W3O10)(BiW9O33)3]·∼41(H2O) (1) has been obtained by reaction of Na9[BiW9O33]·16H2O, Na2WO4·2H2O, and AgNO3 in an acidic aqueous solution. The complex is characterized by IR, UV–Vis absorption spectra, thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, elemental analysis, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Polyanion 1 consists of three [BiW9O33]9− units liked by [Bi2Ag3Na(W3O10)]8+ silver/sodium–tungsten–bismuth mixed cluster. The novelty of polyanion 1 is that, for the first time, use silver cations bridges [BiW9O33]9− subunits to form a new polyoxometalate cluster and providing new insights into the preparation of fascinating multi-functional materials.
