Abstract
7-[2-(N,N-Diisopropylamino)ethoxy]coumarin (1) and 7-[2-(N,N-diisopropylamino)ethoxy]-4-methylcoumarin (2) were synthesized in a traditional way and by microwave-assisted synthesis. The solid state structure was analyzed using X-ray diffraction and 13C CP/MAS NMR methods. Double resonances were observed in the spectrum of 2, in contrary to the spectrum of 1. The X-ray diffraction results indicate that the compound 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with two molecules, A and B, in the asymmetric unit.
