Abstract
Dynamics of protons in hydrogen bonds is determined by complex interplay of vibrational interactions. This mechanism is responsible for the complex structure of their infrared and Raman spectra, and for the dynamics of proton tunneling. We present experimental and theoretical evidence for such mechanisms in several hydrogen-bonded systems.
