Abstract
Polymer 1, namely Cu2(bpp)2(HSO4)2·(SO4)·(H2O) (bpp = 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane), was synthesized by the reaction of bpp with CuSO4 in DMF, and features the 2D 2-fold inclined interpenetrating (4, 4) nets, in which the chain-like counterions and free water molecules connected by hydrogen bonds are capsulated. Further, the thermal stability characters are investigated, and the results reveal that it could to be potential porous materials. Compound 1 belongs to tetragonal system, space group P4(3)2(1)2, a = 18.308(3) Å´, b = 18.308(3) Å´, c = 15.887(3) Å´, α = β = γ = 90°, V = 5325.1(15) Å´3, Z = 4, R1 = 0.0658, ωR2 = 0.1715, S = 0.990.
