Abstract

This article has been retracted. Please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (http://www.elsevier.com/locate/withdrawalpolicy).Reason: This article has been retracted at the request of the editor as the authors have plagiarised part of several papers that had already appeared in several journals. One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication is that authors declare explicitly that their work is original and has not appeared in a publication elsewhere. Re-use of any data should be appropriately cited. As such this article represents a severe abuse of the scientific publishing system. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and we apologise to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process. From a limited, non-exhaustive check of the text, several elements of the text had been plagiarised from the following list of sources:Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, Volume 60, Issue 11, 17 August 2008, Pages 1289-1306, Inorganic Nanoparticles in Drug Delivery Biological properties of naked metal nanoparticlesNanotoday, Volume 4, Issue 1, February 2009, Pages 66-80, Nanotechnology and nanomaterials: Promises for improved tissue regenerationNanotechnology and Its Applications in Crop ImprovementNanomedicine: Nanotechnology, Biology and Medicine, Volume 3, Issue 2, June 2007, Pages 111-119, Cell selective response to gold nanoparticlesAdvances in Colloid and Interface Science, Volume 145, Issues 1-2, 30 January 2009, Pages 83-96, Silver nanoparticles: Green synthesis and their antimicrobial activitiesMaterials Letters, Volume 62, Issue 29, 30 November 2008, Pages 4411-4413, Extracellular biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles by the culture supernatant of Bacillus licheniformisToxicology Letters, Volume 176, Issue 1, 4 January 2008, Pages 1-12, Nanosilver: A nanoproduct in medical applicationJ.
