Abstract
⺠In this study we prepared Ag-nanoparticle embedded 56GeS2-24Ga2S3-20KBr chalcohalide glasses. ⺠The influence of Ag nanoparticles on third-order optical nonlinearity was investigated by AFM and Z-Scan method. ⺠We observed that the larger size with more Ag implanted dose induced the increase of third-order nonlinearity and there was a opium value of ion implanted dose to induce the largest nonlinearity. ⺠We concluded that the intrinsic local field and interaction of Ag-nanoparticles would decrease the third-order nonlinearity in glass.
