Abstract
⺠The samarium ions produce the deformation of Te-O-Te linkages and the formation of orthovanadate units. ⺠After heat treatment, two crystalline phases were put into evidence, namely the Te2V2O9 and SmVO4 crystalline phases. ⺠UV-VIS spectra indicate that the lower oxidation states of the vanadium and samarium ions are present.
