Abstract
This work presents isochronal and isothermal shear stress relaxation measurements in glassy Pd40Cu40P20, which is uniquely denser as compared with the reference tetragonal Pd2Cu2P crystal. However, the relaxation kinetics of this glass in different structural states is quite similar to that in ‘usual’ metallic glasses confirming a minor role of the free volume in the flow behavior below Tg.
