Abstract
⺠Sol-gels are recreated computationally using an aggregation algorithm. ⺠The concepts of recursion and fractal characteristics are used to propose a multi scale computational approach. ⺠Scattering response is predicted recursively from the molecular to the macro scale. ⺠The relationship between scattering intensity, functionality, and reactivity is highlighted. ⺠An analytical model that reveals the critical percolation density is proposed.
