Abstract
► Thermal stable glasses with high content of WO3 up to 33mol% were developed. ► Tungsten-tellurite glasses have a transparency over 75% in the range of 0.6-2.8μm. ► Transparency over 55% in the range of 3.8-5.2μm. with threshold at 6.5μm is observed. ► Microstructured fibers made of tungsten-tellurite glasses were developed. ► The fibers are suitable for supercontinuum generation with femtosecond sources.
