Abstract
Electronic transport through systems of coupled quantum dots attached to electron reservoirs (electrodes) is investigated theoretically. The considerations are restricted to systems consisting of two and three quantum dots. The main attention is paid to various interference effects, including the Kondo phenomenon. Some of these effects resemble similar phenomena known in atomic physics, like for instance Dicke and Fano resonances. Spectral properties as well as transport characteristics such as linear and nonlinear conductance were calculated using the nonequilibrium Green function formalism and the slave-boson mean field theory.
